As for you, always be sober minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil your ministry” (2 Tim. 4:5). Exactly in the midst of pandemic covid 19, Apostle Paul is telling us to always be sober minded, endure suffering, for nothing is impossible in God’s time. As we started a “new normal” life, let not worries and anxieties hinder us from God’s love and care. We are His children. As small child, laying all our hopes and trust in Him, will help us a lot. From that fragment, we could conclude with beautiful word: “God will take the rest”. Let us go and let God act is the real act of faith in the midst of our situation nowadays.
The Gospel of Marc, verses 38-40 shows us that not by appearance God came to redeem us. There’s no preference and no colour in God’s love and charity. How about us? Shall we not follow our Father? Arrogance is a poison that could kill love and fraternity. Message for us from the verses 41-44: poor and simple people have bigger and special place in God’s heart and God’s kingdom. We are all rich but our hearts and minds are occupied with so many worries and anxieties. When we slowly cast out from our hearts and minds those worries and anxieties, we let God reign in our hearts with His blessings and graces. In this way, we could endure hardships and sufferings. Just like the poor widow, out of her poverty, give everything. Let your life offerings be precious and pleasing in God’s eyes. We are to share all our richness and let Him rule our life. God bless us all.
