"I have come to cast a fire upon the earth" - Luke 12:49.

From time to time, we become tired and depressed. Especially when autumn starts, people feel worse because there is not enough sunlight. We call it "autumn fatigue" which means seasonal affective disorder. Many people complain about tiredness, no energy, and a low mood. Yet, everyone experiences it differently. We need to be exposed to sunshine. But in the spiritual sense, we need "a fire of the Holy Spirit".

Jesus wants us to be ready for this spiritual fire. He teaches us how to wait in patience. He says we must pray in silence and expect the Holy Spirit. He encourages us to reply and open our hearts (v. 36). So we must be vigilant for the signs of the Spirit of God. During our prayer, we should wait for the divine grace which will strengthen us. We don’t need to do anything. The Lord teaches us and heals us when we are praying.

We need to receive his divine grace again and again. Because it's like energy to our body which cannot function without it. The way of prayer influences our whole life which means every moment of our life. Thus, we ought to pray and always keep communion with the Holy Spirit. This is an invitation to everyone (v. 41).

Blessed are those who open their heart to the Good News and the truth of Christ. Blessed are those who look for the unity in the Holy Spirit. Blessed are those who want to know the will of God and live according to the Gospel.

Let us ask for the fire of the Holy Spirit to enkindle our souls. Amen.
