In Montem | To the Mount | EN | ES | ID

"Jesus went to the Mount Olives" - John 8:1.

Let us follow Jesus as his disciples. First, let's go to the Mount of Olives. It is night and the Son of God is talking with his heavenly Father. They have much in common. We sit and see the Son keep contact with his Father. It is the first lesson. We learn that everything should start after the conversation with our Lord.
Later, early in the morning, we return to the temple. It is the next step. Our private prayer should be continued in the community of believers. It means in the church. We cannot speak only with God the Father but forget to communicate with our brothers and sisters. For we can be mistaken. It is the second lesson of the passage.
The next lesson is about solving problems among people. Many people are dangerous and want to make our life difficult. There are even such people who want to stone us when we commit sins. Jesus appears as the One who takes care of us. He does not use many words but speaks through his actions. So we need to remember that when we are tested, we do not have to answer immediately. We should be patient and reasonable while responding to some questions. It is much better to bend down and be humble than to attack and offend others.
Finally, we can stay close to Jesus and the sorrowful person. We can become more empathetic and focused on those who are suffering.
Jesus Christ teaches us to love others despite their sins and weaknesses. It is the best way to help people rather than condemn them and make war with them.
