They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking God's word with confidence – Acts 4:31.
In the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Article 8, we read about the Holy Spirit. In the community of the Church, we know the Holy Spirit by the Scriptures he inspires. And the Father has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts (Gal 4:6).
With the power of the Holy Spirit, we share God's word with confidence. We have been doing it in our Bible Sharing Group for many years.
One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is love which God has poured into our hearts. Because we are wounded by sin, the Holy Spirit restores in us the divine likeness. Thanks to the Holy Spirit, we become God's children and bear much fruit: "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control" (Gal 5:22-23). So, we are very grateful for our spiritual community which shares the Good News in the world.
Once a month, we usually gather together online to share and pray for one another. We ask the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit to bring healing and enable signs and wonders through the name of Jesus. We have experienced how important prayer is for our community and every individual. For that reason, we continue our mission and support one another.
We acknowledge that the Spirit of God helps us in our weakness. "For we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes with sighs too deep for words" (Rom 8:26). We open our minds, soul, and body to receive divine grace through the Holy Scriptures.
May our Lord Jesus Christ recall his word and help us understand his holy will. We announce, bear witness, make present, and spread the mystery of the Holy Spirit among our brothers and sisters in the contemporary world. May the Holy Spirit build, animate, and sanctify our Bible Sharing Community.
